We all float down here
Going to the theatre to watch this, I didn’t have any expectations. I was just planning to have a good time with my friends making fun of horror movie cliches, eat my popcorn, and don’t think about this movie ever again, and that’s exactly what you should be doing if you are planning to see this movie. Don’t think that you will see a new horror classic, because you will not. Look, the movie is enjoyable, but as I was watching the movie, I thought to myself, “I have already seen this movie.” It’s all the same with today’s horror. Same plot, same characters, same monster, and the same ending. Also, it’s hard not to notice the similarities with ”The Ring.” I mean, the plot is kind of the same but with a modern twist that brings the movie a little closer to today’s generation. The movie has some comedy moments, which I liked, especially when Tom Segura was on. Segura was standing out from other actors, which was decent. Overall, don’t see this movie alone. Not because it’s too scary, but because you won’t have any fun without no one by your side commenting on the movie, or else the only thing counting down will be the boring minutes till the end of the movie. Don’t recommend it at all
3/10
