Ok so first of all this movie is good…very good, but I can’t overlook the fact that we’ve been getting the same type of horror movies for the last decade. Same plot about a young nun who comes to a creepy monastery, and there’s a creepy old lady nun who can’t speak english and is hiding a major secret about some demonic possesion or a demon baby. We’ve seen it allready!! But, this movie kinda does it better, a lot. Look, I don’t know shit about acting but i know when i see a bad one, and we didn’t get that in this movie, thanks God. So the acting is really good, what else. The plot is like I said really repetitive for me, but the movie succedes in creating this eerie atmosphere for the whole movie, which for me is the best part of this whole flick. I can’t remember if it includes a jumpscare, maybe once or twice, so the movie relies on atmosphere thats keeping you on the edge of your seat all the time. There are a couple of sceenes that really get to you, and are really graphic. Spoiler alert ahed: the only scene that i really didn’t enjoy is the birthing sceene, which i think is too long and you’re just looking at this lady who is screaming out loud for a couple of minutes. I mean what the fuck movie. The second thing that i didn’t find apeeling is the almoust 2 hour run time, which for me kinda feels a little dragged out at time. The only other thing i wanna mention is the end. The ending is predictable if you’ve seen the original Omen… Damian is born..bla bla bla… he is addopted by a rich family… but what is up with mentioning that he has a baby sister. The clique at it’s finest for getting a sequel. Look i know that i’ve said mostly bad things about this movie in this post, but, go see it if you still didn’t. These kinda demon baby movies are not my cup of tea, but i can totally imagine that some people who like that stuff whill think that this movie is really good and is worth mentioning as some of the best horror flicks that we could see in this year.
